Villanueva de la Serena Conference Centre
Villanueva de la Serena's Conference Centre, inaugurated in 2017, transformed the landscape and blended in with it. Above and below ground, the new building reflects the colours of the fertile Vegas Altas del Guadiana and the immense Serena.
The functional, modern facilities, adapted for everyone, allow the development of multiple activities: congresses, conferences, lectures, exhibitions, concerts, theatres, galas, social gatherings and a long etcetera.
Content and container give life to a Conference Centre that stands on the map of Extremadura's geography.

The Building
Architecture
The Conference and Exhibition Centre of Villanueva de la Serena is located in the region of Vegas Altas, in Extremadura, from which it is one of the undisputed architectural landmarks. The design is the work of the architects Luis Pancorbo, José de Villar, Carlos Chacón and Inés Martín Robles.
The Auditorium and Chamber Hall are practically invisible from the outside, in a descent that integrates them below ground level in the Vegas Altas. From inside these spaces, the water-green polycarbonate elements evoke a fresh and almost virtual vision.
The rotund Cube rises above the terrain, with which it mimics, varying its presence depending on the light. The concrete and the thick cords give shape and colour to this singular element.
The garden and plaza around the complex provide a welcome outdoors.
